The Commercial Bar Association (COMBAR) was formed in July 1989 to bring together self-employed barristers who practise in the field of international and commercial law. Its members consist of thirty seven sets of chambers mainly in London where barristers practise in this field, together with our Individual and Honorary members. COMBAR has a full time administrator. |

The Commercial Bar Association (COMBAR) was formed in July 1989 to bring together self-employed barristers who practise in the field of international and commercial law. Its members consist of thirty seven sets of chambers mainly in London where barristers practise in this field, together with our Individual and Honorary members. COMBAR has a full time administrator. Five of its former Chairmen have gone on to become Judges of the Commercial Court. Thus, COMBAR truly represents the whole Commercial Bar and constitutes a body of specialist expertise and advocacy skills in banking, insurance, international trade, shipping and other key commercial activities.
