The above session on the afternoon of the India Roundtable will be an audience-led, Tylney Hall style session, chaired by Lord Peter Goldsmith KC (Fountain Court Chambers) and Gourab Banerji, Senior Advocate (Essex Court Chambers). The discussion will be guided by questions submitted by the audience on procedural tools, bearing in mind that the focus of the Roundtable is a comparative look at tools and practices across both jurisdictions.

All questions must be received by 3 September, with each attendee being requested to please submit at least one question. Examples of questions we have received so far cover topics such as whether pre-action protocols which are standard in the UK may usefully be adopted in India; exploring the reluctance of Indian courts to order costs as compared to the English Commercial Court; and looking at case management techniques in court and arbitration across both jurisdictions. The Co-Chairs will call upon those who have submitted questions to introduce their question, before moderating the discussion generated by the question.
